The General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data - Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April 2016, which came into force on 25 May 2018, establishes the rules on protecting, processing and free movement of personal data of individuals, which applies directly to all entities that process such data, in any member state of the European Union, and in particular Portugal.

The article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation defines personal data as being “information relating to an identified or identifiable person (“data subject”); an identifiable person being someone that can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, electronical identifiers or to one or more specific elements of the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that person; ”

Alphabet Factor Lda is the entity responsible for the processing of personal data and for ensuring the protection of privacy, whenever it determines the means of treatment and respective purposes in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
What categories of personal data do we handle? In addition to the situations in which we process data to comply with legal requirements, Alphabet Factor Lda collects and processes the personal data necessary for the provision of services and / or supply of products within the scope of its activity, handling in this context data such as the name, civil or tax identification number, address, telephone number, e-mail address and others.
For what purposes and for how long do we process your personal data? The purpose of collecting your data is to manage the contractual relationship, accounting, tax and administrative management, provide contracted services, adapt the services to the needs and interests of users and the needs and interests articulated between users and professionals involved, and also, to information and marketing actions, in particular the sending of unsolicited communications for direct marketing purposes, namely through the use of automated systems, campaigns, promotions, advertising and news about Alphabet Factor products and / or services, as well as for establishing contacts to carry out market studies and satisfaction assessment surveys in order to improve our services. What are the deadlines for processing and preserving personal data? Alphabet Factor will retain your personal data for the period necessary to provide the services and comply with legal obligations. Thus, and whenever there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and preserved only for the period necessary for the purposes that motivated its collection or its subsequent treatment after which they will be eliminated. How do we collect your personal data? Alphabet Factor collects your data by phone, in writing or via the website or the INETPET app, with your consent. All personal data collected by Alphabet Factor are stored on servers and databases in which various security mechanisms have been implemented. Technical and organizational measures were also implemented, namely by restricting access to stored data to employees specifically authorized for this purpose.
How can you access, rectify or object to the processing of your personal data? At any time, you have the right to access your personal data, as well as, within the limits of the contract and the General Data Protection Regulation, to change them, oppose the respective treatment, decide on the automated treatment of them, withdraw consent and exercise the other rights provided for by law. To whom do we pass your personal data? The personal data collected will not be communicated to third parties without your consent, either at the time of data collection or later, unless such communication is strictly necessary to provide a particular product or service to the user or in compliance with legal obligations. Alphabet Factor will also assure the contractual measures necessary to ensure that subcontractors respect and protect your personal data.
Under what circumstances do we transfer your data to a third country? Alphabet Factor will only transmit your data to a third country outside the European Union, if you have given your express and previous consent and if that consent is free, informed, specific and unambiguous.
